FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRFSO) came into force in October 2006 and covers all premises except for single private dwellings. Under the RRFSO anyone who has control of a premises or anyone who has a degree of control over the building, specific areas, systems or processes will be identified as a ‘Responsible Person’ and the law requires under Article 9 that the responsible person carries out a suitable and sufficient Fire Risk Assessment.
A Fire Risk Assessment will review your current fire safety measures and procedures and identify any deficiencies. Any deficiencies identified will initially be discussed with the Responsible Person on-site then written into a detailed report highlighting the regulation requirements with recommendations to address the deficiency under a recommended Action Plan, each deficiency is given a risk rating dependant on the risk to life and any breaches of legislation.
